We recently appointed Rusty Nail Designs (Darrell Playle) to complete extensive renovation works to our beach house in Dunsborough. As our house is in a resort complex of 24 houses, the work had to be carried out in difficult circumstances taking into account the needs of tourists residing in the resort. The design and building work completed by Rusty Nail Designs was of a very high standard and we are thrilled with the result. We found the communication during the building period to be excellent. As a result of our experience in this project, we have again employed Rusty Nail Designs to carry out renovation works on our parent’s beach house.

 We engaged Darrel Playle and Rusty Nail Design during 2005 to 2007 for additions to our house at Dunsborough, plus some significant engineering work to improve the drainage and stability of the original building site. An independent designer and an engineer were involved in the early stages. Darrell’s approach was very thorough: we were kept well informed at all times, the documentation was excellent, and the 3D designs were particularly helpful. The difficulties of adding to a currently-occupied house were well managed, and the subcontractors used by Rusty Nail were of a high standard.
